The Café Salettl is like a journey into the past. On a sunny afternoon, people read newspapers and drink coffee in the cozy garden. The protagonists are all absorbed and lost in their own magazines and the reality they have created with their own hands. Situated between the Döblinger retirement home and cemetery and the view of the rustic hilly landscape of the Grinzinger vineyards, the visitor to the pub is confronted in many ways with the transience, with humanity and the eternity of Viennese flair - accompanied by a glass of bad house wine. Painted with a fast, impasto, yet expressive ductus, the otherwise slow, static events of the coffee house culture is dynamized.
