Ève Grenet

The best place to be happy and to feel peace in your soul is in the forest. I love trees. I can communicate with them and they give me strength and vitality.

I practised for the first time shirin yoku few years ago in Japan.
Shinrin-yoku (森林浴) literally means forest bath. How wonderful to feel the softness of moss on the trunk of trees and to listen the birds songs !...
You feel been born again..... I wished to show all these feelings with my painting but in same time I added 2 characters with love and compassion between them both...

And Ève Grenet has also fulfilled this. Her works are so enchanting, influenced by Japanese painting, she transports us into an ornamental, symbolic dream world. Her works indeed allow us to breathe a sigh of relief, they are innocent and touching, often visualising a haiku. And there is one more thing you should know about Ève Grenet. She rarely works with a brush, preferring a knife as a spatula. Anyone who buys one of her works is therefore not only buying an image, but also a poem. Japanese culture is very close to Ève's heart and she skilfully blends her worlds. A must-have for anyone who wants to lose themselves in fantastic stories.
