Mata Kamaleshwari is an Australian painter, mystic and published author who shares her inner world experience through expressive, decorative colourful images using acrylic, ink, and paint pens.

Born in Sweden in June 1971 as Sally Thurley, she eventually completed Art and Design at the Kyneton School of Art, Central Victoria 1994 by scholarship.

In 2005 due to pressure and life changes as a new single mother, she had to leave art to retrain as a chef, but used the coming years to relentlessly throw herself into the path of Self-knowledge and self-realisation in classical tantric studies here and in India eventually initiating as spiritual teacher and receiving the name Mata Kamaleshwari.

Thanks to Covid and another round of life changes, her art had a rebirth, with new motivation and expression, focused on her daily mystical experiences and devotion to the Universal Mother Goddess, or Mahadevi. She is emerging again now with a fascinating story to tell, and a simple humble wish to deliver a spark of awakening or awareness to a ready recipient through the avenue of art.
