Andreas Dobler absolvierte eine Lehre als Verlagskaufmann bei Ringier AG in Zofingen, wo er Umschlag-Entwürfe und Illustrationen für Science-Fiction Magazine fertigte. Von 1983 bis 1985 bildete sich Dobler an der Schule für Gestaltung Basel als Schüler der Malklasse von Franz Fedier weiter. Seit 2001 ist er Dozent an der F+F Schule für Kunst und Design in Zürich und seit 2008 Dozent an der Hochschule für Kunst und Design in Genf. Zudem betätigt sich Dobler als Autor und Drehbuchautor und ist Mitglied der Musikband Demolition Blues. Andreas Dobler lebt und arbeitet in Zürich.

Andreas Dobler completed an apprenticeship as a publishing clerk at Ringier AG in Zofingen, where he produced cover designs and illustrations for science fiction magazines. From 1983 to 1985, Dobler continued his education at the Basel School of Design as a student in Franz Fedier's painting class. Since 2001, he has been a lecturer at the F+F School of Art and Design in Zurich and post 2008 a lecturer at HEAD in Geneva. In addition, Dobler is active as an author and screenwriter and is a member of the music band Demolition Blues. The artist is represented nationally, as well as internationally, at many exhibitions and has already won several promotional awards, including the Swiss Art Award 2015. Andreas Dobler lives and works in Zurich.
