02.12.2023: Love (Amor)
In the picture there are two antique chairs in the centre, upholstered with white fabric and red stripes shown. The chairs are made of carved wood with a golden colour and look used. They are placed in a living room with a rustic floor and walls, as found in Mediterranean houses. Around the two chairs are 5 butterflies, 2 on the left side of the chairs, one on the right chair and two flying on the right side visible. So called monarch butterflies.
Maria Fernanda Schulz's works are characterised by strong colours, peppered with allegories and coded gestures from her native Colombia. Her vibrant personality is reflected in every single brushstroke. Each individual work tells a whole story of a person, a village, a region or the past. Her works thus possess a unique depth and multi-layered quality. Similar to a hidden object picture, this depth allows us to keep discovering new things. But they are not present in the picture, only in our minds. And this is precisely the quality of Maria Fernanda Schulz's works. When viewed over a longer period of time, the pictures begin to speak, connect with our experiences and allow us to immerse ourselves in this connected world.
Maria Fernanda was able to design a clock dial as part of the Art 4 Charity event by art24, which became part of a watch that only exists once in the world. You can win a replica in our Advent prize draw see here how she look.
Yay! We have the winner of the day! R. P. will receive an art24 Totebag with the work of Ignaz Epper
